I am here to bring you some comfort as we are all, probably, trying to stay warm. I don’t know about you, but my joints are reminding me that they don’t welcome this drop in temperature, especially this year, and my bank account is being affected because it costs to stay warm! But why should we complain? So, you might ask, what is this comfort I said I’m bringing? Here it is… God is not a man that He should lie. My brothers and sisters, we are simply changing seasons.
God said in Genesis 8:22, “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.
David’s son, Solomon, was inspired to let us know in Ecclesiastes that we have God-designated seasons in our lives: “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”
So, predictably, seasons come and go in our lives. All mankind experiences winter, spring, summer, fall; all AMEZ members and many other believers celebrate Advent, Christmastide, Epiphany, Lenten, Eastertide, Pentecost, Kingdomtide.
As Kingdom citizens, we can most assuredly believe, without any doubt, and live our lives knowing that we have a season ordained only for us; it is called DUE season. No one can mock the justice of God; whatever a person plants, that person will always harvest! So, in the name of Jesus, let us live our lives to please the Holy Spirit and press on by asking Him for help when we’re feeling tired of, wanting to give up, or stop:
1. Seeking God’s way, first, before we start making our decisions in dealing with any matters in life;
2. Loving others as we are able to receive God’s love for us;
3. Studying, understanding, and applying God’s word in our lives;
4. Serving others, especially in the household of faith;
5. Spending time alone with God talking and listening to Him;
6. Worshipping with others; and
7. Always thanking our Father, our Savior, and our gift in the person of the Holy Spirit
Because in due season we will reap:
1. Wisdom, which will help us build a life that’s storm proof;
2. Stability, which will ground us in our faith;
3. Strength, which will give us the stamina to endure whatever comes our way;
4. Happiness, because the condition of our hearts determines the quality of our lives;
5. Clarity, which is the greatest gift after salvation, seeing ourselves as God sees us; and
6. Acceleration, better decision-making will help us be more productive and not waste time.
That is, if we don’t get tired of doing what is good. You see, at just the right time, we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up!
